Delhi’s Dwarka Expressway has become the first highway in India to feature on AI-powered smart traffic management systems, signaling a major step toward modern, intelligent road infrastructure. The system can detect several infractions, including failing to wear seatbelts, speeding, and triple riding. The government's e-challan platform processes captured infractions, facilitating prompt enforcement and accountability. The administrative load on traffic authorities is lessened by this automated method, which also discourages breaking the law.

In addition to violation detection, the system is designed for proactive incident management. In real time, it can notify emergency responders of accidents, stalled cars, or other disruptions. For thousands of commuters every day, this feature makes commuting safer and quicker by drastically reducing response times, reducing congestion, and improving overall traffic efficiency.
